Brazil has a very rich antique inventory since it was the seat of the Portuguese empire in the begining of the 19th Century. With the presence of the Portuguese king and his court in Brazil, came a large number of valuable decorative pieces and furniture.

Furthermore, Brazil attracted a large number of emigrants from the two World Wars, specialy from Italy, Japan, Germany, Spain, Austria, England and Lebanon, among others, who brought along their valuable items from 1910 to 1960, which are valued for there age and historical importance which these objects acquired.

As such, it is interesting and understandable how Brazil has become an important exporter of art objects and antiques, specially European.
